DESIGN & APPLICATION:
Our rotating drum RotaTech®Nw70 has been designed for the continuous separation of solid particles suspended in the flow.
In order to separate these particles we have come up with a versatile design which can offer two types of filtering grid according to the type of solids and the flow to be treated:
OPTION A)
OPTION B)
This equipment is widely used in the industrial sector, for example in slaughterhouses, juicing and canning, breweries, cellars, distilleries, sugar, cheese and food factories, tanneries, etc.
In the industrial sector our equipment RotaTech®Nw70, is used to recuperate in the waste effluents, sub products with a high economical value which yields great benefits to our clients.
Amongst its multiple uses, it can be employed in pre-treatment before discharging into municipal sewer pipes as it retains and separates solids and therefore reduces overloading.
In the urban wastewater sector our screen can be used to eliminate solids at a first stage and by using a smaller mesh. Using this type of equipment for filtering solids can mean a high reduction in costs in the Project, in decanting processes with or without reagents and basically in all processes with a lower sludge production.
Our equipment presents a clear alternative to primary decanting processes because it offers a fine screening system which can retain solid waste in continuous processes where solids and liquids have to be separated.
The flow to be treated is lead to the screens entrance tube where the liquid impacts against the deflector in order to break the inertia of the flow. The flow is evenly distributed all along the filtering cylinder which then begins to turn (the command for the cylinder turning can be given out from the feeding pump or from a level control system installed in the screens entrance chamber). The flow filters through the triangular profile or through the perforations in the plate. The large solids which can’t pass the mesh are retained on the filtering cylinder’s surface close to the discharge area. An angled scraper is installed on the filtering cylinder which removes the solids and pushes them out towards an additional piece of equipment which transports and compacts them. This piece of equipment is our ScrewTech®Nw90. The flow which passes through the filtering grid goes into the exit chamber and from there onto the exit pipe.
This equipment is made up of: Main chassis/entrance chamber/exit chamber/filtering cylinder/watertight systems/Solids scraper and extractor/discharge tray/entrance, exit and overflow tubes/driving axis/cleaning system.
In the following table we can define which is the correct type and most efficient filtering grid to be used, according to the type of solids to be separated:
