DESIGN & APPLICATION:
In the industrial and wastewater sectors all retained and extracted solids (which undergo filtering processes, for example with our equipment: SolidTech®Nw30 /ArqTech®Nw50&51&55/ FineTech®Nw60 and RotaTech®Nw70) have to be transported, dehydrated and compacted, before being dumped into containers or into additional equipment for the removal of further waste.
Our compacting transporter CompaqTech®Nw90 offers our clients a simple, efficient yet economic solution. It is a piece of equipment designed to dehydrate, compact and reduce in size the waste discharge from the filtering units and this way we can collaborate in reducing waste control expenses.
In order to carry out this type of work we have designed our CompaqTech®Nw90, which has incorporated a compacting system which allows us to reduce waste volume between 30% and 40%, according to the type of matter to be processed.
The versatile design of the compacting head permits 2 different types of filtering grids, according to the type of waste to be compacted and dehydrated.
OPTION A
OPTION B
Our compacting solids transporter CompaqTech®Nw90 starts its working cycle at the receiving guiding chutes. The solids extracted from the channels are deposited in the transporting compacting screw’s channel. In order to transport the waste we have designed our ScrewTech®Nw80. The solids which have been extracted from the channels, via reception guiding chutes, are deposited in the screw transporter. The screw starts up once it receives a signal from the filtering unit, by means of a timer on the control panel, in which the client establishes a time (we recommend between 2 and 3 minutes according to length and turning speed of the screw). This way the screw continues turning and we can guarantee complete expulsion of the existing solids in the channel. Once the recommended time has passed the screw stops and this way we avoid waste accumulating and solidifying in the transporting bed or in the compacting head which could later on produce serious breakdowns. We also avoid odour issues
In our wide range of machinery you can find the most adequate piece of equipment for your technical needs according to the volume of solids to be transported (standard screw diameters of Ø160mm/ Ø215mm/ Ø280mm/ Ø315mm / Ø365mm / Ø420mm. We can also offer other diameters on demand).
The equipment’s frame can be manufactured in different quality stainless steel, following the PREN Corrosion (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) and according to our client’s requests. Once manufacturing is concluded we apply a pickling process by means of an acid bath. The endless screw can be manufactured in Carbon Steel ST.52 (UNE F-1515) or in Stainless Steel, AISI-304/316.
3 processes are carried out with this equipment:
Process 1: The equipment receives the solids from the filtering unit via the standard collection chutes. The number of chutes in the equipment varies according to the number of filtering units which discharge there. The chutes can be supplied with odour free fixings on demand. It’s very important to define which type of equipment is to discharge. If it is the case of our FineTech®Nw60, then we have to foresee a drainage tube at the discharge point in order to eliminate the liquid from the filtering unit’s cleaning system.
Process 2: Transporting of the solids to the compacting head.
Process 3: In the compacting head we have designed a waste accumulation chamber, where the screw deposits the residue and when the chamber reaches its full capacity the waste is pushed outwards where we find a compacting lid which exerts a force in the opposite direction and simultaneously the compacting process begins. After a while the pushing force is greater than the lid’s force and the lid starts to open. This is when the solids begin to come out and are expelled from the head.
The main components are: transporting channel / compacting head / solids receiving chute / water drainage in channel / anti wear and tear wedge / endless screw / screw driving axis / versatile driving head/ leaning supports or civil works fixings / channel protection lids.
For equipment with larger diameters Ø380 / Ø420 we recommend the installation of a soft-start device in the control panel so that start up is smooth and progressive, and this way we can preserve all components and reduce any possibility of breakages in any mechanism due to high tension on start up.
Our equipment has a safety or protection system integrated in all the inspection lids. This element is of utmost importance in order to be able to fulfil standards 2006/42/CE from European Parliament and the del Consejo de 17 de mayo de 2006, relativa a las máquinas y por la que se modifica la Directiva 95/16/CE, which establishes that all members of the European Union are obliged to adopt standards in order to ensure technical safety for the machinery
A safety element is OPTIONAL but we recommend our clients to incorporate this type of electronic device in the control panel which we can supply on demand. This way we can control various parameters and this device can be triggered off when abnormal activity is detected in the process and therefore we can avoid any further problems if in the case of a blockage.
