Mechanical treatment is the first step in the wastewater pre-treatment process, which is essential. This treatment is indispensable for both wastewater and process water in the industrial sector.
It is necessary to perform filtration of coarse and fine material. The separation of these materials prevents breakdowns such as blockages, tangles, and abrasion in the pumps and other equipment located in the subsequent processes of the treatment plant. It also helps avoid environmental contamination. The goal is to remove floating materials and suspended solids, which is achieved through different technologies depending on the type of solids to be removed, whether they are coarse or fine. The residue is extracted and deposited in a hydraulic compactor or container.
Currently, due to the new phenomenon of wipes, it is crucial to install a coarse screening system in the pumping wells, before the pumps. This ensures the removal of wipes, preventing them from clogging the pumps and causing more serious problems.
Thanks to close collaboration with our clients, the majority of whom are operators in the wastewater treatment sector, NETWATER has continuously developed and improved its technologies for filtering both coarse and fine solids. This has allowed us to:
We have successfully introduced our FineTech® Nw60 fine screens to the market, which are operating worldwide. Additionally, we have supplied hundreds of ArqTech® Nw50 screens made of perforated plate and RotaTech® Nw70 screens with a wedge profile.
